An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.
These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.
The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
